BL did a New York City weekend staycation recently. Summer is the perfect time to do a stay in the city and enjoy a commute less weekend. Here’s the scoop on the stay and what to do, where we ate. Our 24 hour staycation involved a swanky afternoon with Rand Luxury and a stay at the new Double tree by Hilton off of Times Square.

Later that afternoon it was off to home for the rest of the weekend .The newly opened Doubletree by Hilton New York Times Square on west 40th street ,across the street from Port Authority. If you happen to live across the water ,you can literally walk across the street and take the bus back to New Jersey!
The room was complete with a King Size bed and view of the west side looking downtown. They are stylized, chic and sexy. The bathrooms are stocked with Crabtree and Evelyn soaps ,lotions, shampoos and conditioner. You will sleep like a baby on the comfy mattress and full fluffy comforter.




Walk through the city for some exploring for dinner and dessert is easy. A find is blocks away for clean food try Bare Burger .Options are burgers in many varieties and tasty sides.

Walking around like a tourist for an evening in a city you already know does have it’s perks. For one , your remember what you take for granted about the city and start looking at it again with fresh eyes and discover something new like dessert at Chill Box greek frozen yogurt below.
