I thought I was hallucinating when I opened the email . I had to read it again. Yes, it said Lenny Kravitz will be performing at the  Volkswagen lauch of the#NewPassat . This was a great start to a normally mundane Monday.

Just Amid the emissions scandal and exactly 4 days before the announcement of that CEO Martin Winterkorn would step down and was replaced by Matthia Muller.The next day it was  reported that Volkswagen spent up to $1 million on the bash.

400 guests rocked with Lenny at Duggal Greenhouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Cocktails flowed as did several buffet style stations with delicious bites all throughout the show. Guest noshed on the likes of mini salmon sandwiches, shrimp on cornbread, veggie flatbread, and more.

Zoe Kravitz and her friends hung out in the audience and enjoyed the show as well. She looked beautiful and chic with a braided ponytail up do ,flowing dress and black motorcycle jacket and booties.

A new feature I like is never worrying about a drop of liquid ruining the phone. It has a water repellant coating protecting it from the inside out. So even if a few drops of the Old Fashion cocktails from the event came in contact with the Moto X Pure I can quickly dry it off with out a hitch in performance.

Despite the current impact VW is having on the industry right now this was a night full of positive energy . Guests were given a glimpse of the very near future to experience the new luxury of the 2016 Passat.
